Knicks Head Coach Quits!!!

Mike D'Antoni is out as head coach of the New York Knicks, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.

A source told the website it was a "mutual decision" between D'Antoni and the Knicks' front office.

The news comes after reports indicated Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony was unhappy with D'Antoni as the team's coach.

Assistant coach Mike Woodson will take over the team on an interim basis, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Earlier Wednesday, Anthony denied reports that said he wanted to leave New York if the team was unwilling to part ways with D'Antoni before next season.

"Let's nip it in the bud right now," Anthony said after the team's morning shootaround, according to the New York Post. "I'm tired of hearing it. It came out this morning. I guess an anonymous source. I'm tired of anonymous sources. I don't want to be traded. I don't know where that foolishness came from."

The Post earlier reported that Anthony's discontent with the Knicks organization had become so severe after Monday night's loss to the Chicago Bulls, he told a confidant he preferred to be traded before Thursday's trade deadline.

The star forward dismissed the report, adding that he and D'Antoni had spoken to clear the air.

"It was, win tonight and not listen to what's said out there about all the trade talks, stuff about him, stuff about me," Anthony said of his conversation with D'Antoni.

D'Antoni, 60, was in his fourth season with the Knicks. He took New York to the playoffs last season for the first time in his tenure, but was swept in the first round by the Celtics. He previously had head coaching stints in Denver and Phoenix

The Knicks — losers of six straight — have fallen out of a playoff spot, as the Milwaukee Bucks own the tiebreaker on the eighth spot.

Did Kelly Rolwand Do Whitney Houston's "Greatest Love Of All" Justice?

Stars in music, film, sports etc. came out to celebrate the 70th born day of the great Muhammad Ali while also paying tribute to the late Whitney Houston. Among those in attendance was Kelly Rowland who sung Whitney Houston’s 1986 classic “The Greatest Love of All,” accompanied by Stevie Wonder on piano. The song was originally recorded by George Benson for the 1977 Muhammad Ali biopic The Greatest.

The Destiny’s Child singer shared memories of meeting Ms. Houston early in her career. “I remember the first time I met her, she was just such an angel and so supportive and had great words of encouragement to say about the music industry,” she said. “To meet such an icon and a legend like her, you’re just like, ‘I was in her presence.’”

Celine Dion Puts Her Two Cents In On How Whitney Houston Died!

Canadian Pop Singer Celine Dion is putting her two cents in on how Music icon Whitney Houston passed away last Saturday before "Official" reports have even come out. In a call placed to the NY based television show Good Morning America Dion wanted to give her fondest memories of the "I Will Always Love You" Super Star stating that she was an inspiration to her. That was very nice and sweet of her but she couldn't just leave it there..

When talk turned to how Whitney Houston died Celine had to be the advocate "mouth piece" for what I'm sure many were thinking but didn't have the facts to speak on. Celine says to GMA host Robin Roberts...

"Whitney has been an amazing inspiration for me ... It's just really unfortunate that drugs, bad people or bad influence took over. It took over her dreams. It took over her love and motherhood. When you think about Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse, to get into drugs like that, for whatever reason. Is it because of the stress and bad influence? What happens when you have everything?"

Ok we all know that Whitney has battled drug abuse for years but until all the facts have come out many fans don't feel that it was the Titanic crooners place to air assumptions out on the Morning talk show, especially when she's not even a member of Whitney's camp.

Mariah Carey's Hubby Nick Cannon Treated For Clots On His Lungs!

Nick Cannon has revealed he was taken to hospital last week suffering from blood clots in his lungs.

The 31-year-old was treated for two clots and an enlarged right ventricle in his heart after his immune system started attacking his organs.

Speaking on his radio show, he said: "I have been in the hospital since Friday, and actually, it's quite serious.

"My antibodies [in] my immune system were attacking my organs and it made my body even weaker."

Last month, he was taken to hospital after suffering "mild kidney failure".

He said: "I was actually trying to downplay it a lot - even in my own mind - not go to the hospital because I was having a lot of pain in my back and I thought it was the typical kidney pain that I had been experiencing, but I thought it had been a little bit heightened."

Cannon, who is married to Mariah Carey, said his doctor told him he was lucky to have survived the health scare.

"My doctor was like, 'Luckily, you're in shape, because most people who get blood clots in their lungs can't breathe and they stop breathing, like, for ever'.

"I didn't have that symptom of not being able to breathe. I mean, when I took deep breaths it really hurt, and I told my doctors and they hooked me up and everything's good now."

'Overworking'

The record producer has now been advised to work less and take some time out.

"My doctor was saying that my work is going to kill me and he's not joking," Cannon said.

"I think part of the reason why my health did kind of deteriorate was because I wasn't resting a lot and I was doing too much. I was overworking myself, working out too much.

"I always took a lot of pride in working so hard and never taking a day off. But I'm learning that it isn't the wisest thing all the time."

He has now announced plans to leave the radio morning show he has hosted on WXRK since January 2010.

The station have released a statement saying: "We have nothing but respect and understanding for Nick's decision to step down from his day-to-day position. Everyone at the station and all of the CBS Radio family wish him well."

Cannon is the host of America's Got Talent - a US entertainment show created by Simon Cowell.

He married Mariah Carey in 2008, and they became parents last year to twins Monroe and Moroccan.

Nicki Manaj Takes Over Mac Event And Ricky Martin's Shine!

M.A.C. Viva Glam Event held at Stage 37in New York Wednesday night

Daily News.com reports that the Latin singer Ricky Martin was upstaged by Nicki Minaj at the MAC Cosmetics Viva glam Launch Party on Wednesday night. The "Super Bass" singer arrived at Stage37 around 9:45 p.m. to find a hoard of young fans waiting for her.

"Many of them had fake IDs hoping they would get in," says a source who talked to many of the girls, and notes that some of them were as young as 13.

Minaj, clad in a brightly-colored bootylicious dress with bright blond hair and sky-high heels, took iPhone photos with her fans and yelling, "My babies! My barbs! I love you!" promised to get them into the club.

Ultimately, 10 fans, who were of age, were invited into the venue to join Minaj, designer Alexander Wang, Coco Rocha, and Christian Siriano.

Martin didn't get such a warm welcome from the singer, however.

Although photographers on the red carpet repeatedly begged Viva Glam's newest spokes-gal for HIV/AIDS awareness to pose for a shot with Martin, Minaj said she didn't have any time for it.

"She said she had another party to get to," said the insider, who noted that the two "got along" but weren't acting like besties.

Minaj did pose with the former Menudo member after the two rode onstage on a motorcycle in a cloud of fog, and another source disputes that there was any friction between the two, saying: Ricky had a great time with Nicki."
